- Choose a tidy, clean workspace. and have a go at sketching or laying out your design on the paper template. For design inspiration look at my website or social media. If you want a personalised message write it on the template in the box provided. I will then add this to the glass in enamel.
- When you are happy with your composition make your kit by sticking the glass elements onto the plain glass base piece with the glue provided. You can use either side of the glass. The glue is only to keep the glass in place when you post it back to me, it will burn away in the kiln as the glass fuses.
- It’s good practice to make your creations on a piece of newspaper or similar in order to collect any loose glass pieces. Tweezers are helpful for delicate elements as are cocktail sticks for nudging pieces into place. Please note the glass can be sharp so care should be taken when handling. This kit is designed as an adult activity and is not suitable for children.
- Leave to dry for at least 24 hours before packing. Re-stick any elements still loose after 24 hours. Please wash the glue pot and brush.
- Please take care cleaning all surfaces and the floor after making your kit to ensure no stray bits of glass remain.
- Take a photo of your creation and email it to cherysteventon@outlook.com so I can reposition anything that moves in transit with your name and kit number in the subject heading.
- Return your glass in the packaging provided with the layers of foam on top of the glass to hold everything in place. Place carefully in the original box with all left over glass, tweezers, pots and paperwork as I reuse and recycle everything. The tissue paper will hold the pots and tools in place to prevent them disturbing the glass. Do not use additional packing as this might increase postage.
- Please fill out the return name/address and email form.
- Add the Cheryl Steventon Glass address label and postage provided (2x Large letter stamps) to the outside of the parcel and post it at the post office or in a post box.
- On receipt of your glass your creations will be fired in the kiln, adding additional glass elements if required.
- The finished items will be returned to you within 10 days of receipt.
